RAW MATERIAL: Red Assocations El Carmen
Red Associations is an organisation set up by RAW MATERIAL in Huila, Columbia. Their goal is to tackle the problems faced by around 300 coffee producing families in the region, with over 600 hectares of coffee plantations. These problems centre around poor infrastructure and a lack of stable income. To combat these issues, Red Association pays each farmer a flat rate for their produce, roughly doubling their income and ensuring financial stability.
